Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains what data OrderPulse (“we”) processes when a Shopify merchant installs OrderPulse, why, and how it is deleted.

1. Data we process

  • Store data: your shop’s .myshopify.com domain, name, country and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
  • Order data for Cash on Delivery orders only: order number, order total and currency, payment method, and the customer’s name and phone number.
  • Message data: each WhatsApp message we send, its delivery status (sent, delivered, read or failed) and the customer’s Confirm or Cancel reply.

We do not process payment card details, and we do not use customer data for marketing.

2. Why we process it

Only to provide the service you install: asking your customer to confirm a Cash on Delivery order on WhatsApp and updating the order in your Shopify store with the result.

3. Who processes it with us

  • Shopify — the platform the app runs on and where order data comes from.
  • Meta (WhatsApp) — delivers the WhatsApp messages to your customers.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the data on our servers.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep order and message data while the app is installed. We act on Shopify’s mandatory privacy requests:

  • customers/data_request — we provide the data we hold about a customer to the merchant.
  • customers/redact — we delete a customer’s personal data.
  • shop/redact — sent after a store uninstalls the app; we delete all of that store’s data.

5. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access tokens are stored encrypted, and access to our systems is limited to staff who need it.

6. Your rights

Customers should contact the merchant they ordered from; merchants can contact us. Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data.

7. Contact
